In November I got to meet and photograph this beautiful family as they celebrated the soon to be arrival of their new addition. They braved the cold to capture our beautiful desert at sunset and how stunning did it turn out to be. Sometimes we are just lucky to have the best light, location and clients. Um how gorgeous is she pregnant?

With 2016 comes new adventures and I am so excited; so when asked to capture the next part of this story I was honored. This is the first session of the new year and I can’t think of a better way to start. Baby D and his family elected to have a lifestyle session in the comfort of their home and surrounded by their things. OMG I am in love with lifestyle newborn sessions! Need to do more.

As with many of the families that I photograph this family is away from their extended family as they grow due to the military; making great images important for everyone who is not here to enjoy this little man’s sweetness. He slept perfectly, going to have to ask his dad to swaddle all my newborns BTW! The few minutes he spent awake were peaceful as you can see below. His sweet sister was ready to pose with him and well her dog 🙂 so we were able to capture some great sibling shots – she may have needed a tiara in some!

Mom and I were already working on our themes for future sessions so I am pretty excited to get to watch this family grow for the time they get to be here.

When Hannah contacted me to discuss her upcoming birth and newborn pictures I had already decided I wouldn’t be photographing anymore births; well as you can see by these images I caved. Hannah and I hit it off right away and spent our coffee date discussing photography with a little of everything else. I am always so amazed and blessed by the many people that this business has brought to my life. There was some worry that dad might not be local when it was birth time so how could I not be there to capture this amazing time for this wonderful growing family.

This particular birth story started in an operating room instead of the delivery room but what an awesome opportunity for a photographer to be invited into the OR. I walked in the room as momma was walking away to the OR to meet dad for the first time. We became fast friends as we were about to experience the amazing arrival of their baby girl. In true southern girl fashion Hannah wanted her hair to be perfect for pictures so her anesthesiologist made sure to fix her hair for the camera 🙂

I was able to spend a few minutes after baby S arrived with the family, capturing their first moments as three and what a pleasure to watch two people fall in love with their new baby girl and each other all over again.

On day 4 I got to spend the day with baby S, her momma, and grandma capturing some great images for her newborn session. We used elements of her daddy’s career, family jewelry and other great colors, fabrics and textures to create a series of images that I know they will cherish forever.

Thank you Key family for allowing me to be a part of our family’s story. I’m so excited for October and apparently for Baby S’s prom 😉

I love maternity sessions; I love babies so I was super excited when Katrina and Will decided to let me capture their new adventure. Since they are here on a short military tour they wanted to make sure to capture the beauty of the desert; the birth place of their new life together as mom and dad! I got to capture this family from bump to baby; aren’t they gorgeous! Mom loves everything girly, anything pink, pearls, lace so we had a great time incorporating all those elements into this newborn session! Anslee wanted to stay awake for all her beautiful images; once we got her into this deep sleep we snapped away capturing many gorgeous sweet images. Congratulations Santiago family!

These two drove all the way from fort Irwin to hang out with me in Twentynine Palms for their maternity session. They are both super cute and playful so there are lots of images with big smiles and laughter. They welcomed their baby girl into the world yesterday and I can’t wait to meet her!

Once again this business has put my path with some just beautiful people and I don’t just mean in front of my camera. These two were so fun and endearing to shoot with for their maternity session in the Morongo Preserve and I can not wait for that baby girl with all the pink lace and pearls, that I am sure she will be wearing in the hospital, to get here. Photogenic and full of ideas we had fun venturing through the paths and chronicling this exciting time in this family’s life. Their love and enjoyment of each other obvious in the way they looked at one another and were playful together. Also noted through our communications and time together their intense love for this little one who is about to bless their world, their families and God. I have been so lucky to photograph family through several life events recently. I was there for the wedding, the baby bump, the newborn and a few first Easter shots; one of the greatest things for me as a photographer is watching and getting to know families through my lens. I am excited to share this newborn session and about 3 week old session for William’s first Easter!

So sometimes we meet people in a different capacity then we imagined. So the Brownings showed up at our house when we were selling some furniture and thanks to my daughter Kaylyn we connected the baby bump with my photography business. Having two parents as active duty Marines we had fun creating “moto” images for each of them. Dad had painted a pallet into a beautiful art piece with the American Flag so we found lots of great uses for that piece during this session. As well you will notice that we used the Browning logo to pull in their iconic last name. This was a super fun and personal session. Thank you again for allowing me to help capture this time in your family’s story!

I was lucky enough to watch Andrea as she announced her new bundle and shared her progress through social media so of course when she asked if I would help her family document that new arrival through pictures I was excited. We met for a family session at the Twentynine Palms Inn with a few sneaks of baby Brooklynn. Brooklynn was a champ making our shots of her quick and almost seamless; sometimes a cute crying picture is a must with these little ones 🙂 with a big sister like Gabby I know this sweet bundle will always have a best friend.

Sweet Baby Bump!! – Twentynine Palms Photographer

I was super excited when I was contacted to photograph this baby bump with two princesses on the way! These two were super sweet and made for an adorable, loving session. We adventured around the Morongo Preserve for some great fall backdrops and a few in the green forest. Their special delivery should be here soon and I can’t wait to meet their twin baby girls!!
