I was lucky enough to watch Andrea as she announced her new bundle and shared her progress through social media so of course when she asked if I would help her family document that new arrival through pictures I was excited. We met for a family session at the Twentynine Palms Inn with a few sneaks of baby Brooklynn. Brooklynn was a champ making our shots of her quick and almost seamless; sometimes a cute crying picture is a must with these little ones 🙂  with a big sister like Gabby I know this sweet bundle will always have a best friend.

What better way to celebrate the Marine Corps birthday today then to blog about one of my favorite military families? The Aldridges and I have gotten to know each other through church and photography. I was excited when Heather asked me to share in Adam’s promotion to Staff Sergeant. We headed out to the airfield where this Marine works to watch him be pinned by his wife and Master Sergeant; a moment in time that is a culmination of hard work, dedication, love, and time away. I believe these moments are family moments because the family perseveres while their Marine is dedicated to two families that they love and respect. Congratulations Aldridge family and thank you so much for letting me capture this moment in time for you!

The Niles Family Fall Session – Twentynine Palms Photography

I have had the pleasure of photographing this family for a few years now so it is exciting to work with them and watch these kiddos grow year after year. We spent our time in the Joshua Tree National Park to get our scenery for this year’s session. We also always have to let this princess get a few extra shots in her special outfit because she has a birthday shortly after the new year so this is always her one more year older shot! These two cousins are some of the great lights in my life. I have known them since before they were here and have been fortunate enough to photograph them both in these beginning times. This was a fun little session to capture them for their first Halloween; are they not the cutest pumpkin patch and jungle?? Sweet Baby Bump!! – Twentynine Palms Photographer

I was super excited when I was contacted to photograph this baby bump with two princesses on the way! These two were super sweet and made for an adorable, loving session. We adventured around the Morongo Preserve for some great fall backdrops and a few in the green forest.   Their special delivery should be here soon and I can’t wait to meet their twin baby girls!! This family here is always smiling, always joyful and always fun to be around. Lucky for me I get to see them more than just when we take their pictures. We met at the Morongo Preserve for this beautiful session. One of my favorite things to capture is the dynamics within the family and we tend to focus on the kids being included in that dynamic; I also want to capture that of the parent, together and in love. Two Little Men – Twentynine Palms Photography

So one of my favorite things is that I have several families that I have photographed over the years again and again. I have watched them grow with new children, watched those children get bigger and gotten to know many of their family members; this is one of those sessions. I believe this to be session #6 for us, some small like when Liam was a baby and others BIG like when we had 7 or so of the cousins all together! This session was photographed in the Morongo Preserve with one of Lesley’s friends and her little guy too. So that makes two moms and two almost two year olds. We did a lot of running, some sitting stool rearranging, some licking, some more running and lucky for me there were some great smiles. I know Lesley is super excited to see all the great moments we captured. Thank you for once again choosing Memories by Tasha!

Love and Laughter <3 – Twentynine Palms Photographer visits Morongo Preserve

So these two were just too much fun while we wondered around the Morongo Preserve for their fall mini session. While Tanya was super excited about getting photographs with her recently returned from deployment husband he was less than enthusiastic. I think by the time we were done he may have felt a little different but he made sure to be a goofball throughout keeping us all laughing and guessing what he was going to do in the next frame! All in all a very successful session; we got tons of great shots both showing off their love for each other and the fun they have! Thank you Tanya and Matt for letting me capture your relationship during this moment in time!

B Man – Twentynine Palms Photographer Fall minis

So the Big B Man and I go way back!  Like way back… when he was a baby bump.  So I am always excited to get to catch up and capture where he is at now.

Well the big news; two missing teeth that he proudly showed off for me.  The other is that he grins with an evil twist when you let him play in the leaves and throw them at himself.   And that my daughter, Miss Kaylyn, who babysat him for years, just her name still makes him smile <3. Thank you for always trusting me to chronicle these times and  I’m excited next year is a mom and dad year too 🙂
