So when Andrea contacted me about doing their first family photo I was super excited! There new adventure is a bit reminiscent of my family’s journey.

To say the boys in this family were simply here because they were told to arrive was an understatement but before too long they would be right in there with new posing ideas and fun pictures!

Making time to capture the ❤ that has brought this family together is always so important. It is easy when we are raising kids to forget to stop and look at one another for a moment! As you can see these two enjoyed that moment to the fullest, I couldn’t get them to now smile at each other!

It is also a great way to torture our children 🙂

This picture makes me smile! I can’t remember what these guys were doing but I love the fact that they are all laughing so hard and it shows! This woman right here smiled and laughed in every picture. What an amazing way to walk through life it was a pleasure to work with Andrea and her family!

Alexa’s 15!

Alexa turned 15 in August so when her mom asked if we could do a photo shoot I was excited. I of course believe everyone should do photo shoots for their birthdays :0). We spent some time in the Joshua Tree Monument with the massive rock formations and a beautiful young lady ; then we traveled to a local location with tons of color and texture. The glitter idea, that was Alexa’s but I have every intention of using it again because it came out gorgeous.

Pierce Family

The Pierce family is having an adventurous year; they are about to move to another country on military orders but were blessed with their second baby girl before the big move so, I was lucky enough to get the chance to photograph them for a second time before they leave. Daughter #1 and I had a great time at the maternity shoot so nothing was different this time. She is full of energy and smiles; so much fun to chase after and photograph. Little Miss #2 so sweet and adorable was only a week old when we had our photo shoot. And must we not forget to include the very first baby in this family; their fur baby who is great with the girls and was so good about us posing her in the pictures too. Thank you Pierce Family for once again choosing Memories by Tasha Photography and good luck on this new chapter.

Etherington Family Session

While this family is new to Twentynine Palms as their zip code they have been vacationing in the monument for some time so they were excited to shoot a photo session in Indian Cove. These fun kids were ready to climb every rock and jump from spot to spot! Even mom, baby bump and all was fearless in ensuring we used the scenery to it’s fullest extent. I am so glad they picked me to start off their new journey and to celebrate the soon to be addition to their growing family. Welcome to the desert Etherington Family!

Twentynine Palms Photographer – Engagement Sessions – Megan & Niko

This session was full of laughter and endearing moments between this soon to be wedded couple. There is nothing more satisfying for this photographer than to capture raw emotion. I felt the love between these two with each image I edited and the bonus was in the way they smiled and made each other laugh. Emma turns One!

Cake Smash sessions are always fun and so unique! Emma’s was no different, she isn’t quite one yet so this was her first cake smash and she went for it! We had a nice session in the Joshua Tree National Monument, we snuck in a mini family session and then Emma was dressed for her 4th of July birthday for a cake smash.

My sessions always touch my heart and make me feel blessed to capture some moment in time but when I get to photograph my nephew and his girlfriend as they begin a new chapter my heart overflows! Ben and Ashley are on a new adventure; they are moving away from California. My hopes and wishes for them are of course grand and what a better way to decorate a new residence than with some new couple’s photos!

During a busy crazy day I left my step stool at Knotts Sky Park, a photographer shooting her own session that day was nice enough to pick it up for me, find me on the internet and call me so I could come get it! So awesome to find good people who will go out of their way to be nice; well her husband is getting out of the Marine Corps this week so what better gift than to do a session with them before they leave. I was a little nervous about how things would go photographing someone else who feels the same passion I do for photography but oh my did we have fun!! What a great couple and what a bunch of great images. The Hemmingers are leaving for new adventures and I wish them all the luck, I am so glad I met them and was able to capture one last peek of here for them.

I had the pleasure of photographing the Murray’s for their engagement session a few years ago and now they are welcoming another member of their family, baby Liam! As usual baby’s are awake when we want them asleep and asleep when we are trying to keep them awake but without some work these images wouldn’t hold all the personality of this little guy. The blue eyes on this little man match his older sister’s and are bound to add to his handsomeness, watch out girls he is going to be a charmer :)!

What a fun and energetic session. This two year old kept us moving every second of our time together; up, down, forward, backward, and rolling on the ground. Everyone in this family has these amazing blue eyes and I am so excited that we were able to capture them in these images. This was a maternity session that included a two year old session, lots of bubbles blown and I think we captured everything mom and dad were looking for. The Pierce family will be welcoming an addition soon and I can’t wait to meet her!

PS There is nothing better than the hugs of a two year old who had fun while you were chasing her through the grass with the camera.
