Aldridge Fall Mini – Twentynine Palms Family Photographer

This family and I have hung out for pictures a few times now and it is always fun! The girls have gone through their moments of total photo diva, shy and this time the little one did not want anything to do with a picture being taken. I can address this here because her mom already did :). Being two is hard and sometimes being two at a photo session is even harder!

We took our time, took some pouty images and had fun anyways. We altered our ideas and eventually got some money shots even with the two year old who didn’t like our shoot; at first! For this family they were excited that we captured who they are and where they are right now! Of course as a photographer I want all those perfect poses with great smiles but this session still told their story; life with two girls one 5 and a total diva for our pictures the other 2 who had other ideas. Thank you for reminding me what my photography is all about!

We had fun, we made it work and in the end we captured this moment in time. Now I did crop the above picture for a nice image of mom and dad but I ask you to look low at where the two year old is; if that doesn’t make you smile and reminisce about your toddler well then I don’t know what to tell you 🙂

Daddy’s Home! – Twentynine Palms Homecoming Photographer

Homecomings always hold a special place in my heart; because of my fulltime schedule at my day job I don’t get to do them as often as I would like. Michelle contacted me months ago to make sure that she had someone out there, with about 10 changes in dates and times her patience was thin but finally the day was here. Daddy left for deployment when his princess was two months old so for the first time he was going to see his personality filled little girl instead of the baby he left behind. Waiting in the heat and trying to entertain a 10 month old Michelle and her mother in law were beyond excited for this reunion.

We took lots of photos while we waited of this Marine’s two beautiful girls!

Then the moment is announced; they are on their way to the meeting site. The anticipation and giddiness grows; we are all watching to see when you can see the marching Marines coming your way. This Marine made it easy to spot him as he carried a black case and a teddy bear peeking out of his pack that he needed to return to his daughter! It’s almost like all the months melt into that one moment; he’s home, he’s safe, and I can touch him. Michelle had anticipated this moment from the very time she said goodbye. And his mother I can only imagine felt the relief of knowing he was finally safe and again on American soil.

These homecomings are full of emotion and happiness yet when this Marine left his daughter was only months old so it reality that in those first moments she is unaware of what has happened and who is so excited to see her but in my amazement it wasn’t long before she was watching him, staring at him and smiling like she had figured it out; simply the best thing to capture!

For a few minutes, the world stands still and you are whole again. Even with a stranger acting like paparazzi :). Welcome home Marine and congratulations Perrow family!

The Austin Family – Twentynine Palms Family Photographer

I love photographing babies and their families! When I arrived at the Austin home I was super excited about the space we were using. We had great light and props, Angela should probable become an interior decorator after seeing the nursery! We had fun with fabric, textures, and of course this adorable little one. Once we were done with that it was off to the park for a fun family session!! Hope you enjoy these images of this little bundle as much as I did.

It’s a BOY! – Twentynine Palms Maternity Photographer

Rebecca contacted me to do their maternity session unfortunately after they had a bad experience at their last duty station so I was excited to hopefully turn that around and help them chronicle this new adventure into parenthood and living in Twentynine Palms :). We had a fun filled session with books, plenty of smiles and silliness. Rebecca even tried out a new dress I had ordered just for these occasions. The Wright Family – Twentynine Palms Family Photographer

I was super excited when Nicole asked me to photograph her family. We have known each other for a bit now through Church so it is always awesome when I get to put families in front of camera whom I also know. Both these munchkins were super fun and photogenic. We hung out at the park on base while we adventured around taking pictures in different settings; there are even a few with the family making funny faces. It’s always nice to have fun while we capture great memories!

Welcome Home Marine! – Twentynine Palms Photographer

I love homecomings! I don’t book too many because of my crazy schedule but I am always so excited when I am waiting with my clients for their loved one. This beautiful lady was super excited, obviously, to have her Marine home. In the heat with her great sign we waited for this reunion. It was happy, with tears, lots of hugs and kisses.

The Bostick Family – Twentynine Palms Family Photographer

This fun family session was in the Joshua Tree National Monument! We started our session with some resistance but as you can see from these images we ended with lots of fun! Harshman Couples Session – Twentynine Palms Photographer

I was contacted by Brittney to do a couples session that highlighted their affection for one another and their fur babies. We decided to use a great location on base that offered several backdrops and I think it worked! These two were fun to photograph and to hang out with. With deployment pending there were a few distractions but before long we were wondering through the location capturing moment after moment and image after image!

I met the Casto family in the Monument after they scouted some locations and came up with this gem. We had a great time on a short hike so we could get to the arch and shot images along the way! Arielle and Anthony, She said Yes!! – Twentynine Palms Photographer

Arielle contacted me with a quick fused request, she needed engagement pictures and she had a short timeline. Her Marine was deploying in a few days. We worked out some good locations on base and got to photographing. Her Marine is a tank mechanic so we wanted to include the vehicles in our session. As a first for me I was excited to see what we could do and I will say we got a lot more images than I would have thought. This was a fun loving session that I am honored to have done.
