I was contacted by Brittney to do a couples session that highlighted their affection for one another and their fur babies.   We decided to use a great location on base that offered several backdrops and I think it worked!  These two were fun to photograph and to hang out with.  With deployment pending there were a few distractions but before long we were wondering through the location capturing moment after moment and image after image!

Casto Family – Joshua Tree National Park Family Photography

I met the Casto family in the Monument after they scouted some locations and came up with this gem.  We had a great time on a short hike so we could get to the arch and shot images along the way!  What a beautiful location with of course a beautiful family.  I am super excited to share this session!!  Enjoy.

Warfield Retirement – Twentynine Palms Event Photography

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I am so blessed to get to watch and photograph so many great events.  Every retirement ceremony is a little bit different as those who have served with the retiree begin to tell stories, these stories include times of heroism, times of sacrifice, times of a brotherhood like no other, times of happiness and times of mourning.  The Warfield retirement including the great tales of a young Marine who grew to be a leader and a friend to many!  This family is moving onto the next chapter in their lives with pride of who their Marine was and has become, I wish all the luck and happiness in the world.  Congratulations!

It’s Baby Time!! – Twentynine Palms Birth Photography

This post is a bit late and long but I am super excited to share it.  I was asked to photograph a birth by some doula friends of mine.  With no birth photography experience I was excited to do it but with new experiences and ones I can’t recreate I was just as nervous.  I have chosen to share this experience in black and white because for me these images give more emotion than the color.

 

This was a home birth in water so as a woman who has given birth to 3 children in a hospital, in a bed I was curious as to how this whole birthing process would work.  Well it was an awesome experience that I am thankful I was asked to be a part of.Twentynine Palms Photographer, Twentynine Palms Birth Photography, Yucca Valley Photographer, Yucca Valley Birth Photography 1 With a doula and two midwives this laboring mom had lots of support.  It was a very calming and natural process that of course netted one of the best gifts; a beautiful healthy baby girl!!Twentynine Palms Photographer, Twentynine Palms Birth Photography, Yucca Valley Photographer, Yucca Valley Birth Photography 2

Baby “N” – Yucca Valley Newborn Photographer

Family Vacay Photo Op :)

So there is a saying out there; All because two people fell in love.  Well that is the story behind this great fun family session.  All because these two fell in love there is a great story of family, friendship, goofiness, and look at how it has grown over the years!  They have added son in laws and grandchildren.  We spent a very warm afternoon on the golf course outside their vacation condos posing, playing, and laughing.  These are my favorite kind of sessions.

Zach’s ready for Graduation – Yucca Valley Photographer

Meet Zach, he is a Yucca Valley High School Senior!  His mom and I spent some time planning and working out schedules for this session, it turned out great.  Zach plays baseball, rides dirt bikes, and is learning the guitar.  He was a fun and energetic young man to work with.  He is ready for graduation and plans to head off to college in the fall.  We snuck in a family session while we were out there and came up with some great shots of him with his brothers and mama!

Baby “B” is 6 months old!! – Yucca Valley Photographer

I met this chubby little guy when he was only a few days old so of course I was excited when his mom wanted me to capture his 6 month pictures.  As you can see this family has three fun and handsome boys so we will need to wish mom luck on the home front as she is out numbered!!

The smaller details in life, our first born, our itty bittys!  I was happy to photograph this little family’s new addition.  Baby H entered into this world early so he had a few small struggles but was perfection for our session.  These images are all precious to each family and are time sakes for each of them.  I hope the H family loves each and everyone of them.

The “D” Family welcomes Baby “L”! – Twentynine Palms Newborn Photograhy

Meet the “D” family who recently welcomed their first child.  I was excited that they asked me to photograph this awesome time as I was able to watch them through out the pregnancy as well.  This little guy did not want to sleep for us but it is rumored that after I left he slept the rest of the day.  Dad loves turtles so we had to use some props for dad’s pictures.  We also used one of mom’s papa’s shirts to honor her family, I love when families include pieces of who they are to add to a story that can be told through these images.
