I do – Military Wedding on Camp Pendleton

So where do I begin…… I had so much fun editing this beautiful wedding. We all adventured from Twentynine Palms and other southern California locations to watch these two say I do in front of their family and friends. They have actually been married almost a year but wanted to share in a beautiful, loved filled day with those they love most. We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather on Camp Pendleton on this December day and everything went off without a hitch. I love my almost sneak peeks and these two had fun with it helping me to create some great images. With a gorgeous ceremony in The Ranch Chapel these two said I do and we used the rustic old world feel of the location for their wedding session. I have to say nothing tops a first dance for me; I honestly think it is such an intimate and special for the newly married couple so I couldn’t help putting together a great collage of these two in black and white.

Warfield Retirement – Twentynine Palms Event Photography

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I am so blessed to get to watch and photograph so many great events. Every retirement ceremony is a little bit different as those who have served with the retiree begin to tell stories, these stories include times of heroism, times of sacrifice, times of a brotherhood like no other, times of happiness and times of mourning. The Warfield retirement including the great tales of a young Marine who grew to be a leader and a friend to many! This family is moving onto the next chapter in their lives with pride of who their Marine was and has become, I wish all the luck and happiness in the world. Congratulations!

We of course had to capture some family images and images with all the guests that came to celebrate this great moment!

Lady Wildcats, Our fun Photo Shoot

Meet this year’s Lady Wildcats, these three young ladies are the team captains. Although the season is over I am very excited to share this session, it is always one of my favorites!

Every year these young ladies amaze me with their hearts and willingness to lay it all out on the field in the name of their love for the game of soccer and each other as a team.

So these next few are just a small example of how silly these girls can be and how much they enjoy each other and their time as soccer sisters!! I am going to miss watching my own daughter playing out there with these girls but I look forward to watching them each grow as young women and players!

Segura Family Maternity Session in Indian Cove

Love, friendship, marriage, and family. What an awesome story to tell with images to your anticipated little one. Leticia contacted me about doing a maternity session and she was super excited to capture the joy, the excitement and the love that is contained within their relationship and awaiting their little baby boy bundle.

We adventured around the Indian Cove campground where smiles, laughter, and touching moments were a plenty. I love my job!!

There is always something awesome about being with people when they just enjoy smiling; the infectous smile of this momma to be was so much fun to look at over and over, picture after picture because they were just enjoying being together. That is where forever stories begin and shortly they will share that with one more!

Gehris Family Session on Oceanside Beach

This family has become so dear to my heart! Bettina and I met each other through work but she has become a dear friend and I have felt so blessed to capture moment after moment of this family’s journey. This session was the first that we were able to have Angie, the off at college daughter so we have a complete family picture. The Gehris family is getting ready to welcome another addition so I am very excited to do a gender announcement with them next week, look out for the BIG announcement!

Run for the Warriors 5K in San Diego, CA

I’ve said it before, photography has brought so many things into my life; so many blessings. Hope For The Warriors is a charity that started providing services to our injured service members as they came home forever changed by their time serving. Just with any other charity they began slowly but over the years they have expanded their opportunity to serve by offering programs for service members, family members, want to expand your knowledge of adventure – they cover that too through offering excursions where modifications are made to support handicapped participants, the list goes on and on. I was given the opportunity to photograph one of their fundraising activities. This was the first year visiting the west coast for a Run for the Warriors 5k in San Diego. This 5k was ran or walked along the embarcadero in gorgeous conditions and I couldn’t have felt more blessed than to have participated, thank you for all you do! I look forward to seeing you all again next year!

Adela and Juniors Engagement Session

When I met Adela to discuss her upcoming wedding day and the photography I knew I had met a genuine person. Her smile lights up a room and when I met her fiancé Junior I saw that they both had amazing smiles, our engagement session in San Diego was full of laughs. As we walked around the Embarcadero, changing scenery for different backdrops one thing was obvious; these two enjoy each other and are excited for the future that’s only around the corner. Yesterday I photographed the big day, what an amazing experience as a photographer and someone in awe of all the culture and customs their families share. Emma turns One!

Cake Smash sessions are always fun and so unique! Emma’s was no different, she isn’t quite one yet so this was her first cake smash and she went for it! We had a nice session in the Joshua Tree National Monument, we snuck in a mini family session and then Emma was dressed for her 4th of July birthday for a cake smash.

My sessions always touch my heart and make me feel blessed to capture some moment in time but when I get to photograph my nephew and his girlfriend as they begin a new chapter my heart overflows! Ben and Ashley are on a new adventure; they are moving away from California. My hopes and wishes for them are of course grand and what a better way to decorate a new residence than with some new couple’s photos!

During a busy crazy day I left my step stool at Knotts Sky Park, a photographer shooting her own session that day was nice enough to pick it up for me, find me on the internet and call me so I could come get it! So awesome to find good people who will go out of their way to be nice; well her husband is getting out of the Marine Corps this week so what better gift than to do a session with them before they leave. I was a little nervous about how things would go photographing someone else who feels the same passion I do for photography but oh my did we have fun!! What a great couple and what a bunch of great images. The Hemmingers are leaving for new adventures and I wish them all the luck, I am so glad I met them and was able to capture one last peek of here for them.
