These two really are just too cute for words. They are fun, loving and photogenic <3. There is not much more a photographer could ask for. They are also busy with life changing right now so they are keeping me busy. I got to photograph their 2nd wedding before Christmas, be on the lookout for another beautiful blog post soon, and a new arrival soon. It is always awesome when you get the chance to work with clients through multiple life events. Saul is also a photographer in some of his spare time only he uses an old school camera, that winds, and film. We incorporated some mages on that beauty as well so he had to teach me a thing or two (not sure how I did).

Armstrong Family Vacation – Twentynine Palms Photographer visits Palm Springs

Day in and day out I am reminded how much this business has given to me. This is the first session of the New Year and I would like to reflect just a bit 🙂

Six years ago my husband bought me my first non point and shoot camera; I played with it, I googled every bit of terminology and technique I could think of, I played with it a bunch more, I took a class, I took an online class or five and from all of that I have gained so much more than just how to use my camera. Weekly I am blessed to be put into touch with new people who want to be photographed, who want to enjoy the experience, and who want to walk away with a little piece of their story preserved. There has been good, there has been rough but I would not trade a bit of this journey. The people I have met, the life experiences I have been a part of, the families I’ve watched grow and change through my lens has been amazing. I thank each and every one of you!

Now onto this awesome family. They were all visiting over the holidays from Canada where it was a bit chillier then the Palm Springs weather we were blessed with on New Year’s Day! Mom and Dad are lucky enough to winter here every year so they had a perfect location for their family’s session; their condo grounds! I could photograph in that setting time and time again 🙂 it’s gorgeous! Add a beautiful family ready to show me the lay of the land and you get a whole slew of great images. We took the time to capture each of the families dynamics as they all have grown into adults beginning to have children of their own and we captured this whole family who is obviously close to one another.

Always a pleasure to work with a family who is so sweet. The boys in this family were committed because mom wanted family pictures but during the entire session they were endearing and good sports to ensure mom was happy. With one son in college and the other a senior in high school these two haven’t forgotten how to be sweet with one another. Grandma even joined us to get her share of images with her handsome grandsons. So excited I had the pleasure of working with you all!

What a fun filled family – Twentynine Palms Photographer visits Joshua Tree Monument

Every time I leave my house to photograph I get to have a new amazing experience and this session was no different. Julianna asked me to capture her family while everyone was visiting last month and we decided on the National Monument as our setting. This family was a blast to hang out with; there were silly poses, great family shots, and a good mix in between. We captured dynamic after dynamic and came through with lots of great images. Fun in the Monument – Andy and Jessica’s Family

This family was excited to get their family pictures taken for the first time together; that makes for a great afternoon for this photographer. I love when we get to just explore, have fun and capture their story through stunning images. We used our own backyard, The Joshua Tree National Monument, for a great setting and everyone came with smiles. There was some rock climbing, some running, some kissing, and all around a beautiful fun family. Looking through these images can only make you smile as you see the love and closeness of these five. Talent and Beauty – Taylor’s Senior Session

Another beautiful senior session photographed in our scenery that never gets enough credit. Taylor is a well-rounded adventurous young lady. I have had the pleasure to watch her as she shined across the stage as an experienced and funny actress. We have all heard her voice across the radio waves and she is a talented cross country runner. We had an extremely fun session while she was a good sport in the cold and windy desert weather. Taylor’s mom is going to have a hard time choosing favorites as this girl gave me more shots than I could have ever asked for!!

Have I said lately how blessed I am to be invited into people’s lives to capture the exciting moments they have? If not let me tell you I am beyond blessed. This young man made the big change many of our military kiddos do; he changed schools just before beginning his senior year. In spirit of loving his circumstances and both schools we photographed his new home with some pieces of his old. With a letterman jacket littered with athletic patches Sam has made himself at home here in Twentynine Palms as a cross country runner and soon to be track athlete. We enjoyed fusing both old and new together in this session as we explored the beautiful Joshua Tree National Park, shared aspects of his love and future – The Marine Corps, found his dad so we could capture the workmanship of both in their love of an oldie but goodie. This session was packed with amazing elements. Thank you Robinson family for allowing me to memorialize these moments in time for your family!

And They Lived Happily Ever After – Twentynine Palms Wedding Photographer

Photography for me is an amazing way to tell someone’s story well weddings are that time when I get to tell an entire family’s story. On this day we were capturing the moments not only of Sonny and Kim becoming husband and wife but also of the moment when two families joined as one. These two celebrated their decision to join each other during this beautiful and fun ceremony. They also made sure to include each of their daughters during a necklace ceremony signifying their promise to love one another and these two beautiful girls. One of the best moments as these two were announced as husband and wife the girls, who had their own secret plan, shouted “And the lived happily ever after”! I have the best hobby/job in the world and days like this one just make me smile!! This family had me cracking up the entire session; my cheeks hurt at the end. Andrea and Brian are full of life, love and giddiness. Both boys have a smile that melts your heart and were fun to wonder around the Big Canyon Morongo Preserve with. We spent the afternoon capturing images that showed off their families dynamic and personality; an enormous personality! Thank you again for entrusting me to capture this time in your lives!!

Our Jenkins Family Hike – Twentynine Palms Photographer, Yucca Valley Photographer

So what do I say about the Jenkins family. I have been fortunate enough to photograph this family for family photographs, birthday parties, family events, new babies and the list goes on. We decided to use our natural backdrop here in the desert for this year’s photographs. Anna picked out some great colors to go with our neutral background and the result was these amazing images. The kids loved the hiking it took to get to the gorgeous location and everyone was a good sport about the climbing. Thank you for once again entrusting me with your precious family’s photographs!
