Every time I leave my house to photograph I get to have a new amazing experience and this session was no different. Julianna asked me to capture her family while everyone was visiting last month and we decided on the National Monument as our setting. This family was a blast to hang out with; there were silly poses, great family shots, and a good mix in between. We captured dynamic after dynamic and came through with lots of great images. Fun in the Monument – Andy and Jessica’s Family

This family was excited to get their family pictures taken for the first time together; that makes for a great afternoon for this photographer. I love when we get to just explore, have fun and capture their story through stunning images. We used our own backyard, The Joshua Tree National Monument, for a great setting and everyone came with smiles. There was some rock climbing, some running, some kissing, and all around a beautiful fun family. Looking through these images can only make you smile as you see the love and closeness of these five. I have the best hobby/job in the world and days like this one just make me smile!! This family had me cracking up the entire session; my cheeks hurt at the end. Andrea and Brian are full of life, love and giddiness. Both boys have a smile that melts your heart and were fun to wonder around the Big Canyon Morongo Preserve with. We spent the afternoon capturing images that showed off their families dynamic and personality; an enormous personality! Thank you again for entrusting me to capture this time in your lives!!

Our Jenkins Family Hike – Twentynine Palms Photographer, Yucca Valley Photographer

So what do I say about the Jenkins family. I have been fortunate enough to photograph this family for family photographs, birthday parties, family events, new babies and the list goes on. We decided to use our natural backdrop here in the desert for this year’s photographs. Anna picked out some great colors to go with our neutral background and the result was these amazing images. The kids loved the hiking it took to get to the gorgeous location and everyone was a good sport about the climbing. Thank you for once again entrusting me with your precious family’s photographs!

The Bell Boys – Twentynine Palms and our Adventures

I am super excited to blog this session. When mom and I met to plan her twin boys senior session she read me the warning label; most moms with boys do. They will cooperate but they are less than excited to spend a morning in front of the lens. None the less we talked about their personalities, interests and activities….. boy did we have an eventful, personality filled session planned. Both boys are swimmers for the high school but with it being winter that wasn’t one of our options so instead we began our session with some green at Lucky Park. I have to say upon meeting Jacob and Jeremy I was ready for a session filled with great photographs, lots of smiles and some adventurous new locations! They did not disappoint. While we hit some of the regular hotspots in town we also hiked to a small secret location where Jeremy had spent some of his summer time while in an internship with the Joshua Tree National Park. We hiked in, found more gorgeous locations and set to capturing a small piece of Jeremy’s history. Next on our list was to commemorate Jacob’s hard work as a Fire Explorer with the Twentynine Palms’ Fire Department. They were nice enough to let us in so Jacob could show off some of his dreams and memories; they also shared soot so we could catch him in some realistic images. These two were super fun and we captured so many great images that I may have overshared but enjoy! I think by the time we were done they were okay with being in front of the lens.

I was lucky enough to watch Andrea as she announced her new bundle and shared her progress through social media so of course when she asked if I would help her family document that new arrival through pictures I was excited. We met for a family session at the Twentynine Palms Inn with a few sneaks of baby Brooklynn. Brooklynn was a champ making our shots of her quick and almost seamless; sometimes a cute crying picture is a must with these little ones 🙂 with a big sister like Gabby I know this sweet bundle will always have a best friend.

Sweet Baby Bump!! – Twentynine Palms Photographer

Family. smiles and love – Twentynine Palms Photographer

This family here is always smiling, always joyful and always fun to be around. Lucky for me I get to see them more than just when we take their pictures. We met at the Morongo Preserve for this beautiful session. One of my favorite things to capture is the dynamics within the family and we tend to focus on the kids being included in that dynamic; I also want to capture that of the parent, together and in love.
